DEVARA movie review feeda2z

"Devara: Part 1", released today, is a visually stunning yet emotionally uneven action drama that showcases the strengths of its lead actors, especially Jr. NTR. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is set in a coastal region, telling the story of Devara, a fearless leader who battles both natural and human threats while facing familial betrayal. Jr. NTR takes on dual roles, delivering a power-packed performance that stands out as the film's highlight. Saif Ali Khan, portraying the antagonist Bhaira, also impresses with his menacing presence.

Visually, the film is grand, with striking cinematography that captures the coastal and water-based action sequences beautifully. However, the visual effects, while ambitious, have received mixed reactions, with some viewers feeling they fall short of expectations. The background score by Anirudh Ravichander effectively elevates key moments, but the songs have been a disappointment, lacking the impact that was hoped for

On the downside, "Devara" struggles with its pacing and emotional depth. While the action sequences are thrilling, the story takes time to build momentum, especially in the first half. The second half provides more intrigue, but the film doesn’t fully capitalize on its dramatic potential, with too many underdeveloped characters and some predictable narrative beats. Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in Telugu cinema is underwhelming, with limited screen time and a poorly written role

Jr. NTR’s portrayal of Devara is the highlight of the film. His dual role performance is powerful and commanding, with fans and critics praising his ability to handle both the intense action and emotional beats. He successfully brings depth to his character, especially in the high-octane action sequences set against the backdrop of the sea. His screen presence and magnetic performance are the primary draws for the audience.

In summary, "Devara" is a spectacle driven by Jr. NTR’s magnetic performance and breathtaking visuals, but it lacks the emotional resonance and originality that could have made it a true epic. Fans of Jr. NTR will certainly enjoy the film, but it may not live up to the hype for everyone.
