“Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass” Movie Review
A wellhearted film with a good intention, the makers are honest in their attempt. Rating of 3 out of 5
'Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass' which released today 18th October 2024 is a socially relevant family drama on the importance of education for women, especially in rural India. The film features the story of young Geeta (Kashika Kapoor) who wants to complete her 10th standard although she is being forced for marriage by circumstances. The story is driven by her desire to get through the exams so she can think about marriage.
Prradip Khairwar, who has directed this film on the education and empowerment of girls by tackling societal norms with a strong message: 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'. The film is small in its production but large and honest when it comes down to describing what they mean. The performances, especially by actors like Atul Srivastava and Alka Amin are excellently done. The elder daughter of the house Geeta was born slightly blacker, Atul Srivastava in her father's role has been shown by a soothing artist to give emotional depth to this film. While the lead performance by Kashika Kapoor and Anuj Saini is earnest, it also seems a little rough around the edges.
Putting aside the technical and pacing issues, "Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass" is a good socially driven message-watch film. Though not necessarily a cinematic marvel, the honesty in this film is aptly timed and well-intentioned; for it tries to spread some awareness regarding women education in rural India.
Please note , the big bad world of bollywood filled with nepotism and fake publicity , here's an earnest film which tries to put across a social message in an interesting format , as part of public service to our country one should encourage such movies and movie makers to showcase such movies and give them a bench to standup and deliver again . If we do not encourage these film makers wont be able to survive in bollywood . So share and support such films .
