Bollywood hunk turned heartthrob Siddharth Malhotra will be seen changing sides in the impending Race 4 where he plays a villain, unlike every other dashing hero you spot. Malhotra is all set to play an antagonist for the upcoming film of Race franchise and it will be much darker, deadly and layered than so far what fans of the series have been witnessing.

Sidharth Malhotra, who is known for essays versatile roles in films like Shershaah and Ek Villain is no stranger to portraying intense characters.

Villainy Redefined

The Race series has had flashy stunts, high-octane drama and a whole bunch of non-committal characters in the past. The villains have been a huge attraction—be it Akshaye Khanna's ruthless mastermind or John Abraham's charismatic and scheming enemy. But Malhotra should add his charm to the role for sure.

The actor supposedly plays a more nefarious role blending smarts with strength. Sources said that Sidharth is undergoing some rigorous training to prepare for his role of a spy, with emphasis on both the physical transformation and the mental depth, that needs to be portrayed by such a layered character. Famous for his commitment to appear and live the lives of his characters, Malhotra is working with the action choreographers and directors in tandem to bring across a menacing performance — one that isn't relegated to any of his previous parts.

Throughout an interview before the announcement, Malhotra hinted that he will likely be playing characters that are not typical hero roles. He said he is thrilled to be able to expand his horizons as an actor, diving into a complex character Next Block Buster
